80F 3.8V LIHC1020 Capacitor 250k Cycles 6A Pulse -40°C to 65°C 3μA Leakage
Sensor Nodes Need Pulse Power.
A typical LoRa or NB-IoT sensor draws microamps while sleeping, but spikes to 50‑100mA during transmission. A battery alone handles this, but it degrades with every pulse. An EDLC handles pulses well, but doesn't store enough energy for multiple transmissions. The LIHC1020 sits right in the middle: 80F of storage, 6A pulse capability, and 250,000 cycles. It delivers the burst and keeps going—for years.
Backup Systems Need Retention.
When mains power drops, your RTC and memory need to stay alive—sometimes for days or weeks. That means low self-discharge and stable voltage over time. This capacitor leaks less than 3μA at 25°C. It holds its charge. It doesn't need maintenance. And it doesn't degrade like a battery does when kept at partial charge.
Industrial Controllers Need Both.
PLC backup, actuator hold-up, peak load smoothing—these demand high capacitance, low resistance, and wide temperature tolerance. The LIHC1020 delivers 80F, 350mΩ DCR, and operates from -40°C to 65°C. It survives the factory floor, the cold warehouse, and the hot enclosure.
The Numbers That Back It Up.
80F rated capacitance (3.8V to 2.5V). 3.8V nominal. 4.2V max. DCR ≤350mΩ. ACR ≤150mΩ. 250mA continuous, 6.0A pulse, 500mA max charge. 3μA leakage. 250,000 cycles. 10x20mm, ≤3.0g. Shipped at 3.3‑3.8V. Passes overcharge, short circuit, thermal, and mechanical stress tests.
Bottom Line.
If you're designing a battery-powered wireless sensor that needs to last 10 years, the LIHC1020 is the missing piece. If you're building a backup circuit that can't afford battery replacement, this is the component. And if you're tired of choosing between EDLCs that don't store enough and batteries that don't cycle enough, this is the bridge.
