The SIHC1840-3R0-380F is a cutting-edge 3.0V 380F Sodium-Ion Hybrid Capacitor (SIHC) engineered for high-performance and demanding power applications. By combining an advanced NaFePO4 cathode with a hard carbon anode, this innovative sodium-based chemistry delivers significantly higher energy density compared to traditional Electric Double-Layer Capacitors (EDLCs).
Designed to bridge the gap between conventional supercapacitors and batteries, it offers excellent power performance, an ultra-long cycle life exceeding 50,000 cycles, and an environmentally friendly, high-safety profile with zero lithium-related risks. Its exceptional thermal stability allows for reliable operation in extreme environments, maintaining performance down to -40°C. The SIHC1840-3R0-380F is the ideal choice for IoT devices, electronic shelf labels (ESL), smart utility meters, industrial controllers, and rugged backup power systems.
The SIHC1840-3R0-380F operates at a nominal voltage of 3.0V (range: 1.5V~3.6V, max charge: 3.65V) with a rated capacitance of 380F (measured at 25±3°C). It features low internal resistance with a DCR ≤50mΩ (10ms pulse) and an ACR ≤25mΩ (1kHz). Designed for high-performance delivery, it supports a 5A maximum charge current, 2.5A continuous discharge, and a high peak pulse discharge of up to 50A (for <1s), while maintaining an ultra-low leakage current of ≤15.0μA after 72 hours. Built for durability in extreme environments, it operates reliably across a wide temperature range from -40°C to 70°C (storage: 10°C to 40°C).

The SIHC1840-3R0-380F is engineered for exceptional long-term reliability, delivering an ultra-long service life exceeding 50,000 cycles under standard test conditions (10C charge/discharge between 3.6V and 2.5V at room temperature). Upon reaching this 50,000-cycle milestone, the cell maintains a capacitance retention of ≥70% of its initial value, while its internal resistance stays well within 4 times the initial specified limit.
The advanced sodium-ion hybrid chemistry also demonstrates outstanding environmental stability:
High-Temperature & High-Humidity Storage: After exposure to 60±3°C and 90±3% RH for 1,000 hours, the capacitor retains ≥70% of its capacitance, with internal resistance increasing by no more than 2 times the initial value.
Long-Term Storage: It exhibits minimal degradation over extended periods, preserving ≥90% of its initial capacitance and keeping resistance within 2 times the baseline standard.
Designed to maintain high stability across extreme thermal environments, this capacitor features an official operating temperature range of -40°C to 70°C.
Low-Temperature Efficiency: It offers industry-leading cold-weather performance, maintaining a capacity retention of ≥60% even at -20°C, with internal resistance rising to ≤10 times the initial specified value. This makes it an ideal power solution for outdoor infrastructure and cold chain logistics monitoring.
High-Temperature Stability: At elevated temperatures up to +65°C, capacitance fluctuations are strictly confined within ±10%, and internal resistance remains tightly within initial specified limits.
Physical Dimensions
Diameter ΦD is 18mm with +0.5mm maximum. Length L is 41±1.5mm. Lead length L1 is 27.5±1.0mm, and L2 is 25.0±1.0mm. Lead diameter Φd is 0.8±0.1mm. Lead pitch P is 7.5±0.5mm. Weight is ≤21.0 grams. The cylindrical aluminum shell provides mechanical protection and sealing. The rubber plug prevents short circuits and electrolyte leakage.

The SIHC1840-3R0-380F is engineered with an inherently stable sodium-ion hybrid chemistry, completely eliminating the thermal runaway and fire risks typically associated with lithium-based energy storage. Built to withstand extreme operational stress, the cell incorporates a robust cylindrical aluminum casing and an advanced protective rubber seal to guarantee long-term hermetic integrity.
Rigorous Abuse Testing: The product successfully satisfies comprehensive safety requirements, demonstrating zero explosion and zero fire hazards under severe test conditions—including overcharge, forced short-circuit, high-temperature thermal exposure, and heavy mechanical impact.
International Compliance: Manufactured under strict quality control standards, this capacitor is fully compliant with IEC 62831 and IEC 62391 international standards for electrical and electronic components. It holds complete UN38.3 and MSDS certifications, ensuring hassle-free logistics and safe global transportation.
