Solar Tracker
Solar trackers enable your panels to track the sun's path through the sky. This allows them to produce more solar power. Solar tracking systems are expensive. Is it worth paying more for a solar tracker to get more solar power? It is more economical to install more solar panels. We'll show you everything you need to know, starting with the types and ending up with whether they are worth your investment. What is a Solar Tracker?A solar tracker tracks the sun's movements across the sky. Solar trackers can be paired with solar panels to produce more renewable energy. While solar trackers are typically paired with ground-mounted solar systems, there have recently been rooftop-mounted trackers.Solar tracking equipment is usually connected to the racking system of solar panels. The solar panels can then move with the sun's movement. The type of solar tracking system determines how it moves. There are three types:1. Manual solar trackersManual trackers require that someone adjusts the panels physically at different times during the day in order to follow the sun. It is not always possible to do this as it requires someone to continuously monitor the sun and adjust the solar panel system.2. Passive solar trackersPassive trackers use a liquid that has a low boiling temperature and will evaporate under sunlight. The tilt system becomes unbalanced when the liquid evaporates. This causes the panels tilt in the sun's direction.3. Active solar trackersTo change positions, active trackers use motors or hydraulic pistons. Active trackers use motors to move PV panels so that they face the sun. This is more convenient than manual trackers but the motors can easily fail. This could result in higher maintenance costs over its lifetime.
